General Program Information
Unlock Your Leadership Potential is the public access version of The Compelling Why Leadership Series offered to school districts. Through interactive sessions led by Compelling Why staff and corporate volunteers, students engage with a blend of TED Talks, movie clips, and real-world professional experiences to explore leadership attributes such as integrity, commitment, emotional intelligence, and collaboration that are essential for success in school, career, and life.
Students in grades 8–12 are invited to participate.
No. Thanks to generous sponsors, the program is FREE (a $499 value). Future offerings may incur a program fee.

Forms & Requirements
Yes. Please download and complete the Compelling Why Media Release Form
If under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign.
Return the form by emailing info@thecompellingwhy.org or bring a printed copy to event check-in.
Only one form is needed for all Unlock Your Leadership Potential sessions.
Student Experience
Students will engage in facilitated conversations, interactive activities, and quizzes using Kahoot!, a game-based learning platform. Sessions feature movie clips, TED Talks, and real-world insights from Compelling Why staff and volunteers.
Yes. Students should bring a smartphone to participate in Kahoot! quizzes. An email address will be requested during Kahoot! to track scores, award prizes, and share optional “homework” assignments.
Yes! Prizes are awarded based on participation and understanding, with recognition for both individual session winners and cumulative series winners.
Parent & Family Engagement
The series helps students build confidence, character, and leadership skills that colleges, universities, and employers value. It prepares them to thrive academically, socially, and professionally.
Parents are welcome to attend and observe to support their child’s growth and engagement. However, seating is limited, and priority is given to student participants; therefore, space may not be available for all parents at every session.
