Compelling Why programming works to increase the number of  students enrolled in academic and life skill enrichment programs in their schools and communities.

Success Sessions

Business and community leaders serve as catalysts and role models who drive action during 1/2-day moderated discussions with  middle and high school students of promise. Immediately following these Success Sessions (seminars), students attend an “Opportunity Fair” where they interface directly with representatives from school- and community-based organizations.

Leadership Series

The Leadership Series includes five to eight facilitated discussions by Compelling Why staff industry volunteers on the leadership attributes of integrity, commitment, emotional intelligence and collaboration. The Compelling Why believes that a well-rounded education prepares youth for career success and includes these workforce survival skills not emphasized in core academic curricula or standardized tests.

Video Library

The CW success story library consists of filmed and edited seminar content so the reach of our stellar group of professionals and community leaders can be extended to students who are unable to attend. It will also serve as content that CW students can refer to in the future, and educators, youth service providers, and community groups can incorporate into their existing programs.
